Experience the wide variety of class formats that are offered at Spring Valley. Whether you have been healthy and fit for years or just starting out, come take part in one of our many group exercise classes. Step, Step & Sculpt, Step Beyond, Core Strength, Kick It!, Cardio Mix, Spin, Body Sculpting, Body Fit, Pilates, and Yoga. Classes involve both cardio and resistance training and are taught by certified instructors who will make you feel comfortable and motivated.

Our group fitness schedule is updated on a quarterly basis with the latest developments and changes in the fitness industry.

All group fitness classes are included with membership. There is no additional cost..take as many classes as you would like!

Group Fitness Class Descriptions
  • ACTIVE ADULT: This low impact class is designed for cardio conditioning choreographed to music using the ramp, step or moves on the floor. This class may incorporate some resistance training. For beginners and all levels of fitness.

  • ARMS OR LEGS-N-ABS: Think one on one Personal Training session in a group setting. One week you will get 30 min of results oriented upper body exercises followed by 15 min of abs...


    the next week we'll do the same thing, only with legs! For all levels of fitness.

  • LIFT-N-FLEX: 30 minutes of resistance training followed by 30 minutes of deep stretching to leave your muscle feeling refreshed at the end of a good workout. For all levels of fitness.

  • MIX IT UP!: Instructor and or class choice make this workout something that will keep you guessing! One week it could be kick box, another week it could be weights. Keep your workouts interesting and fun by trying this class. For all levels of fitness.

  • PILATES SCULPT: Pilate's based moves incorporating the use of various forms of resistance including weights, balls and rings while standing and sitting.

  • Power Ball: This innovative class guarantees to get your heart rate up, incorporate some sculpting, and make you move, all while using stability balls, medicine balls and other resistance tools. For all levels of fitness.

  • POWER RIDE: This 45 min. ride promises to improve your cardiovascular endurance, and target your core. Bring a towel and water bottle! Guaranteed to make you sweat. For intermediate to advanced spinners!

  • RAMP/STEP & SCULPT: Using either an incline surface or a height adjustable bench this workout promises to deliver high intensity cardio followed by resistance training with weights and bands. For RAMP STEP-N-ABS, take the resistance training out and add abdominal work. For intermediate to advanced levels of fitness.

  • SPIN & CORE: Come on in and enjoy the ride. followed by exercises meant to target your core, this class will make you feel refreshed, centered and strong! For SPIN, take out the core work. For all levels of fitness.

  • STEP/RAMP: Using either an incline bench or a height adjustable bench you will perform choreographed routines of high intensity cardiovascular exercise put to fun music. For Step Intervals, add small segments of weight resistance training combined with this awesome cardiovascular workout.

    For RAMP CAMP add a ramp class mixed with traditional boot camp exercises, like jump rope, lunges and more! For intermediate or advanced levels of fitness.

  • TOTAL BODY TAE BO: This Tae Bo style of punching/kick boxing athletic moves promises to challenge from head to "Tae Bo!" Be prepared to sweat! For all levels of fitness.

  • LINE DANCING: Kick up your heels and learn have some fun learning various forms of line dancing. For all levels of fitness.

  • YOGA VINYASA LITE: Low impact yoga class consisting of breathing, stretching and balancing poses. For all levels of fitness.

  • YOGA FLOW: Combine the same principals of Yoga Vinyasa Lite with a more flowing practice moving from one exercise to the next. For beginning to intermediate levels of fitness.

  • YOGA I: Physical Yoga class moving slowly between less complex poses, breathing in rhythm, combined with stretching poses. For beginners and intermediate levels of fitness.

  • YOGA 2: Same principals as Yoga I; adding more complex poses. For intermediate and advance levels of fitness.

  • BASICS-N-MORE: This low impact cardio/strength class is designed for the young and young at heart, or anyone just beginning or getting back into a fitness program. For all levels of fitness.

  • BALL-N-BANDS: In this class you will work with medicine balls, stability balls and resistance bands to get a total body workout. For all levels of fitness.

  • BOOT CAMP: This is an innovative class to rev-up your workouts consisting of intervals, circuits, plyometrics and obstacle courses to train the entire body. For all levels of fitness.

  • BODY FIT: “Changing the shape you’re in.” An original barbell and dumbbell class that strengthens your entire body. THis 60-minute workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls. For best results, prior free-weight training experience is recommended. For intermediate & advanced levels of fitness.

  • BODY SCULPT: This class gives you a good resistance workout with the use of weights, bands, balls and more. For all levels of fitness.

  • CARDIO BLAST: In this class anything goes as long as it's cardio! It could be a 1/2 hour on the bike, treadmill, doing plyometrics, or running outside. Get your doctor required 30 minutes of cardio in a fun group setting. For all levels of fitness.

  • CARDIO & FLEX: What a combo! This class begins with 30 minutes of cardio and ends with 30 minutes of flexibility training. For CARDIO-N-SCULPT, take out the flexibility training and add resistance training. For all levels of fitness.

  • CHARLIE'S CIRCUIT: This class will take you through a series of stations designed to improve your strength, balance, and cardiovascular endurance. A great place to start if you are a beginner. For POWER CIRCUIT, it is the same class, just a little more intense! For all levels of fitness.

  • PILATES MATWORK: Traditional Pilates workout done on the mat meant to strengthen your core while sculpting your entire body. Guaranteed to challenge you yet leave you feeling invigorated. For all levels of fitness.
